NEW ARRIVAL: VALENTINA BRUGNATELLI
"Valentina Brugnatelli was born in Italy to a Danish mother and an Italian father, was raised in Switzerland, and studied fashion in Paris in the late 80s.
In 1990 she began working for Gianfranco Ferré, who would go on to be her mentor for the next twenty years. Her collaborations range from Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo and Missoni among others.
She designed to her own brief for the first time in Fall-Winter 2012 as she launched the eponymous collection, an expression of her multicultural upbringing and extensive professional experience.
Valentina Brugnatelli believes a jewel needs to have a soul: an element that doesn't relegate it to something decorative. It is essential it tells a story and triggers an emotion.
She imagines her jewels worn by a free-spirited woman with a personality strong enough to wear whatever she feels like.
Someone you would turn to look at because there's something about her that strikes you".

Jean-Claude Ellena created The Different Company in the year 2000 before joining the French luxury house Hermès in 2004 as the house's exclusive in-house perfumer (for 11 perfumes & Collection Hermessence). He has also created many other scents for Bulgari, Frédéric Malle, Van Cleef & Arpels, L'Artisan Parfumeur, Cartier, Yves Saint Laurent, ... .
"First nose to take part in the adventure of The Different Company, his approach has been to use natural ingredients, not very present in the traditional perfumes. Jean-Claude Ellena offers olfactory writings rich in imaginary references but always refined, in a desire to evoke reality rather than to describe it.
The Different Company beauty is an attitude, a quest for perfection that magnifies an olfactory sense of the difference. The fragrances tell their desire to be unique and modern, while existing only to appeal because we believe above all that pleasure is the purpose of the perfume".
